Polystar Containment is pleased to announce the arrival of the latest addition to our spill containment arsenal – the Drillers Containment Pad System. Ideal for secondary spill containment and spill prevention at drilling and fracing sites, this spill system features a fiberglass composite covering over a 5/16" metal core sheet. The installation and breakdown of this custom spill containment system is quick and easy, and the fiberglass composite construction ensures many years of robust life for site use over and over again.
Known for our secondary containment solutions for industrial applications as well as our revolutionary use of composite plastics to extend the life of our systems, Polystar Containment continues to offer excellent secondary containment solutions that are designed and manufactured in our own manufacturing plant. The Drillers Containment Pad System is the latest example of our innovative design ethic, offering a unique solution for your secondary containment requirements and the best investment return for your environmental compliance dollars.
Site Preparation
The substrate must be able to support the weight of any Polystar system plus the weight of a loaded vehicle with no more than 1/2" deflection at the axle. The customer is responsible for site preparation. Recommended final site prep with limestone screenings compacted on 3" limestone rock base.
Installation
The installation of the system is both simple and fast. Crews can assemble systems at a rate of three minutes per pad. Breakdown is also swift and effective because the pads can be broken down and stacked in any order. Chemical resistance can be upgraded for Acid tanks.
- A setup is based on the following:
- Crane with operator and four way chain spreader to offload trucks and place pans in place
- Roustabout labor (four men) hooking up from truck to site and connecting bulkhead fittings joining pans into one large containment area
- Impact wrenches to tighten bulk head fittings & spud bars to maneuver pads.
